Getting started
Getting started with Turguz
Turguz's three services, tenants and roles, the sections of the panel and your first steps.
In Turguz you do three things: you create virtual servers, you deploy your projects and you set up databases. You manage all of them from a single panel or from your AI assistant.
#Signing in
You sign in with your Turguz account. On your first sign-in, the sign-in page shows the «Sorumluluk Reddi Beyanı» (Disclaimer) and you accept it once. Your acceptance is recorded on your account, so you are not asked again when you sign in from another device or app. Until you accept it, the panel and the assistant (and the mobile app, once released) do not work. If the Disclaimer changes in a way that affects your rights and obligations, you are asked to accept it again; you are not asked again for wording fixes.
If your account has not been assigned to a tenant yet, the panel tells you so. Ask your platform admin to add you to a tenant.
#Tenants and roles
A tenant is a team's or a unit's space in Turguz. Servers, projects, databases and quota belong to the tenant; those in one tenant cannot see other tenants. Your role in the tenant determines what you can do:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| «Kiracı yöneticisi» (Tenant admin) | Everything a developer can do. They also add members to the team, change members' roles and remove members from the team; manage the tenant's access settings; manage every server and project in the tenant, and give members permission for servers. |
| «Geliştirici» (Developer) | Creates, resizes and deletes servers; creates projects and environments and deploys; sets up and connects databases; opens quota requests. Can manage another member's server only if its owner allows it. |
| «İzleyici» (Viewer) | Can see, but cannot change anything. |
#Sections of the panel
The left menu has the Özet (Overview), Sunucular (Servers), Projeler (Projects), Veritabanı (Database), Ekip (Team) and Bildirim (Notifications) pages. If the API pool is on in your tenant, the API havuzu (API pool) page appears as well.
- Özet (Overview) is the page that opens when you sign in. Depending on your role it summarises what is waiting for you, your quota, recent deployments and resources that need attention; if you haven't been added to a tenant yet, it says so.
- The tabs of the Sunucular (Servers) page: Sunucular (Servers) and Saklanan diskler (Kept disks).
- The tabs of the Ekip (Team) page: Üyeler (Members), Ekipler (Teams), Kota (Quota), Erişim (Access, the allowed addresses) and, for the tenant admin, Ayarlar (Settings).
- The Projeler (Projects) page holds your projects and their environments, and its Git bağlantıları (Git connections) tab holds your Git accounts.
- The Bildirim (Notifications) page shows your requests, decisions and deployment results. When you click a notification, the notifications for that page are marked as read.
- The Yenilikler (What's new) tab of the same page lists new features, changed behaviour and fixes in Turguz. When a new note is published, it is also shown once in a window the next time you open the panel.
- If maintenance is coming up or under way, a maintenance mark appears at the top right, to the left of the theme button; press it to open the maintenance notice. A notice you have not read shows a dot on the mark; a new upcoming or ongoing notice is also shown once in a window the first time you open the panel.
- Your password, your sessions and your assistant keys are on the Ayarlar (Settings) page, in the user menu at the top right.
#First steps
- Create a server: set up your own Linux machine and connect over SSH or from the console in your browser. Virtual server
- Deploy a project: connect your Git repository or upload your project, then deploy it with «Kur ve dağıt» (Set up and deploy). Deploying your project
- Add a database: connect a PostgreSQL database to your project's environment; the connection details are given to your application automatically. Database
Details on environments, deployments and settings are on the Environments and deployments page.
#Quota
The servers, environments and databases you create count against your tenant's quota. If the quota is not enough, the action is not carried out and a quota request is opened for the missing amount; your tenant's quota is approved by the platform admin.
#Working with your assistant
You can also do most of what you do in the panel by telling your AI assistant. How to connect it: Connect Turguz to your AI assistant.
